BIA of Philadelphia – BIA Speaker Series: The Firehouse

Join the BIA for the first Speaker Series event of 2024! The Firehouse is a historic preservation and multifamily development project located in the South Kensington neighborhood.
Engine Company No. 29 was built in 1895 during a period of significant architectural achievement in fire house design and retains its integrity, as both the overall form and defining architectural features remained intact since the time of construction. Today, the restored firehouse includes 29 distinctive apartments, each unit featuring its own unique set of characteristics. The Firehouse’s amenities and building systems are efficient, innovative, and thoughtfully designed for the urban living experience.
