Greg HarrisMeet Greg Harris, 2026 PBA President

On January 1, Greg Harris of the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg will assume the office of PBA President for 2026.

Greg grew up with construction and building in his bloodline. He worked with his parents in their remodeling company where he caught the bug. After those years of learning and working, Greg decided that if he was going to be a carpenter, then he might as well start his own business.

G.P. Harris Construction, Inc., headquartered in Jonestown, PA, was launched on January 31, 2003. Greg took to the helm as President and spread the word by talking to everyone he knew.

“I have been trying to keep up ever since,” he said.

His company offers full-service remodeling, additions, whole house, kitchen, and bathroom renovations. While the company had previously employed five to seven workers, Greg decided to change his approach. Now he is the sole employee with all other work completed by trade partners.

In June of 2020, Greg was named the NAHB Remodeler of the Month.

Greg initially joined the Lebanon County Builders Association but eventually most of the work he did was in Dauphin County. That’s when he decided to join the Metro Harrisburg association. He served as President for both locals.

After a few years of working with the local chapter, Greg was intrigued about what happens at the state level. He has served terms as PBA Secretary and Vice President. During that time, he was very involved in initiating a strategic plan, developing a budget, and working with other Senior Officers and the Board of Directors to create a new path for PBA.

When asked what his main goal is for 2026 as the PBA President, Greg said he wants to get all members across the state working together and heading in the same direction.

“To accomplish that, we must work together as a team,” he said.

But why is membership so important in Greg’s opinion?

“The more people we have involved in their local HBAs and in PBA, the more influence we can have on Harrisburg and Washington to help stop the overregulation,” Greg noted. “A rising tide lifts all the boats.”

Greg has been married to his wife, Beth, for 24 years. Together they have raised four children and now have two grandchildren.

When he can get away from the business as well as from his PBA duties, Greg prefers spending time outdoors with his family.

“Some say I hunt a lot – borderline obsessed,” he said. “But I also enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, camping, and floating on just about anything.”

“Our happy place is Cedar Run, PA,” Greg commented. “Anytime we can hang out with our kids is a good time.”

Please join us at The Hotel Hershey on Friday, March 13 as Greg officially is sworn into office during the annual PBA Installation Gala.

We wish Greg Harris all the best as he takes the reigns of PBA President for 2026.
