Eleven PBA members and three Executive Officers climbed Capitol Hill to carry PBA’s message to the Pennsylvania congressional delegation. The members focused on challenges involving workforce and transformer shortages as well as the continuing struggles with high interest rates and growing regulatory burdens. The PBA group carried the message both to House and Senate offices. NAHB’s Legislative Conference offered a unique opportunity for a disparate group of PBA representatives to interact with elected leaders and their staff. The in-person meetings allowed members to “put a face” on the real difficulties confronted by anyone contributing to the residential construction community. The meetings also allowed members and PBA to strengthen and deepen relationships with those who represent them in Washington. We encourage any PBA member to join us in 2025 when we will return to Washington to reinforce the importance of homebuilding in Pennsylvania.
